The Great Arctic Outdoors
Kiilopää Fell Center in Lapland is an ideal place to get in touch with the Nordic wilderness. At Kiilopää you can conquer a fell, dip into an ice-cold lake, and ski under the Northern Lights. Or you can just sick back and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty, sense the arctic peace and quiet, and listen to exotic Lapland stories by the fireplace.
Founded in 1964 and owned by the recreational organization Suomen Latu, Kiilopää's area continues to enchant Finns and foreign visitors alike. Here you can escape the daily grind and recharge your batteries - be it summer, spring, winter or autumn.
At Fell Center Kiilopää, nature is at the core of our services. The centre offers its visitors - both individual travellers and groups - comfortable accommodation, tasty and hearty meals, and a chance to explore the Northern wilderness in a safe environment. Guided daytrips and evening programme are organized from mid-January to the end of April, in September, and during Christmas time,
We are located in the southern part of the vast Inari region, at the foot of Kiilopää and Ahopää fells, next to the Urho Kekkonen National Park.
Kiilopää area provides a beautiful setting for you vacation. Trails for hiking and cross-country skiing (a network of 190 kilometres in total) leave from Kiilopää centre's main building. Some of the trails run through the national park.
